ESFLOW Concept Showcases Nissan’s Electric Vehicle Prowess
Are we looking at the heir-apparent to the much celebrated Nissan Zed product line? From the signature bulky hips to the swooping long nose, you certainly don’t need a microscope to see some of the Zed’s personality and good looks in this ESLOW EV concept. But while there are some consistent design cues, it is clear that the ESFLOW is a departure in all the ways that matter from your garden-variety Nissan Zed.
The ESFLOW borrows its powertrain from the Nissan Leaf and while that may not yield a lot of horses or torque, the power is available from zero revs so it produces a decent 0-60mph time in sub-5 seconds. With a lightweight aluminium chassis and low-mounted lithium-ion batteries, this total EV concept boasts a drive range of 240 kms on a single charge. ESFLOW has two electric motors that each power a rear wheel, innovative to say the least.
Overall, this is an intriguing concept offering from Nissan and while we won’t be seeing the ESFLOW hit production anytime, it certainly offers an electrified glimpse into the future of the Nissan Zed bloodline.
